Mr Salt brings over 15 years of DJ and production experience to every party he plays. From Brooklyn lofts, to downtown dive bars, to clubs, to high-end private parties, to weddings and corporate events, Michael caters his seamless style to each unique crowd. Pulling from pop, funk, hip hop, top 40, disco, oldies, and everything else in his arsenal, Michael keeps the dance floor grooving.

Music has been at the center of Michael's life since the beginning. Classically trained on the trumpet (and poorly trained on many other instruments), Michael played in jazz bands, orchestras, and touring rock bands all before the age of 17. At Indiana University's Music School, Michael earned a Bachelors of Science in Audio Recording & Technology, focusing on audio production and engineering. There he also developed a love for DJing, and the vast world of music from all genres that came with it. For the past 10 years he has been living in NYC, and has worked at high end recording studios by day while DJing by night.

Michael doesn't rely on tweets, likes, or social media over-saturation to build his brand, favoring word of mouth and reputation alone.

Corporate clients range from high end fashion and lifestyle brands (Ralph Lauren, Rag & Bone, Bergdorf Goodman), to museums, boutiques, and non profits (The Whitney Museum, Van Leeuwen, Wildlife Conservation Society). Currently he is the Music Supervisor for Ralph Lauren, focusing on curation and branding through music and flawless execution.
